Whyalla Middleback Observing Site

The Whyalla branch holds observing sessions at least once a month at its Middleback Observing Site, located at Middleback Station on the road between Whyalla and Iron Knob. Anyone with an interest in astronomy is invited to attend any of our nights, including members of the public. Admission is free for both members and the public.

A variety of portable telescopes are used at these sessions. Members are encouraged to bring their own equipment, although this is not necessary.

For information about viewing nights at Whyalla Middleback Observing Site, including weather reports, please contact Ernie on (08) 8645 3613.
