Hawthorndene Oval
Hawthorndene Oval is ASSA's Southern Metro observing site for public viewing and stargazing nights.
The oval is located at Watahuna Avenue, Hawthorndene in the Adelaide Hills, about a 30 minute drive south from the Adelaide city centre.

What to bring
- Tickets: Please bring your ticket/s with you.
- Suitable clothing and enclosed footwear: Dress warmly and wear comfortable enclosed non-slip footwear.
- Insect repellent: It is advisable to bring insect repellent.
- Food and drink: Bring a drink and snacks for personal consumption. There are no food or drink options on site.
- Binoculars: You may bring binoculars for personal use. Please do not bring telescopes.
