Deep Sky Observing Group

Group Coordinator: Michael Williams

There are many objects to see in the night sky. If you are keen to do some extra viewing or just to challenge your observing, this group may be for you! We use 15" and 18" telescopes to observe galaxies, globular clusters, open clusters and planetary nebulae.

Members who join the deep sky observing group receive a folder with a list of objects to view throughout the year. Each month we observe objects in a different constellation.

The Deep Sky Observing Group meets monthly at Stockport Observatory. If you would like to attend one of our deep sky observing group nights, please contact Michael between 3-5pm before travelling to Stockport.
