New Member Orientation at Stockport Observatory

If you have recently joined ASSA or perhaps you have been a member for a while and have never been to Stockport Observatory, then here is your chance.

A night for new members is to be held at Stockport Observatory on 4pm Saturday 4th of September. This is a regular members night, so that you can meet the more experienced observers as well as other new members.

The night will commence at 4:00pm with a tour of the facility followed by a mini telescope clinic, so bring along your 'scopes and we will help with questions you may have regarding setting up and using them. This will be followed by tea, coffee, cake and biscuits.

That evening, you will have the opportunity to mingle with your fellow members and get the chance to see some of the equipment others have brought along before it gets too dark.

Note, due to COVID-19 restrictions sharing views through the Society's telescope or the sharing of member telescopes is not possible at present.

So if you are new to ASSA and want to experience Stockport for the first time, then come along and get to know your Society and the people who make it what it is.

New members must register ASAP using the link in the monthly viewing nights email sent to all members.
